(X-Plosion '06G) Sankey Soars

Lia Sankey (U16) goes vertical attempting a shot using her head. Sankey netted the go ahead goal off the subsequent rebound to put the X-Plosion ahead 1-0 in the 2021 Columbia Fall Classic tournament final (standings). The X-Plosion lost the heart-breaking final 5-4 in Overtime Penalty Kicks.

The FC814 X-Plosion '06G team racked 6 points against SAC United Blue (MD), Arlington Blue (VA) and Freedom X-Plosions (MD) to reach the Final Championship game against Baltimore Union SC Elite (MD). The final score in regulation was 1-1 but X-Plosion lost 5-4 in Overtime PKs.
